The Mistress Unveiled...

"I am, I am insatiable,
I can, I can be anything,
I am, I am insatiable,
I can, I am my enemy..."
The Last Dance, "Fairytale"

So you are curious about the person behind the page. Let us start with the basics; I am female, as has been implied numerous times on this website. I am of "legal age," but my exact age is none of your business. I live in the United States, and I do not support the current actions of my country, end of that discussion. I have lived in the same house for over 15 years now. I despise change even though it happens every day. I have been seeing the same man for over 6 years now, and I like it that way. I collect quotes and useless junk, and can retain a multitude of completely pointless, irrelevant information, but I cannot remember important things to save my life. I have pets - lots of them. In general, I like animals better than I like people. Anyone who feels the same will no doubt completely understand why. I am selective, domineering, selfish, uncaring, and avidly pessimistic, and at times, I am also a walking contradiction. I cannot stand optimistic people who always want to look at the "good" side of things. They get on my nerves. Most people get on my nerves.

My hobbies include brooding, roleplaying, reading, writing, sketching, listening to music, playing video games, baking, HTML coding, giving ridiculous amounts of attention to my pets, and plotting eventual world domination. In no particular order, mind you.

The roleplaying games I enjoy include but are not limited to; Vampire: The Masquerade, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Wraith: The Oblivion, Hunter: The Reckoning, Demon: The Fallen, Mage: The Ascension, Mummy: The Resurrection, Kindred of the East, Vampire: The Dark Ages/Dark Ages: Vampire, Dungeons and Dragons, Dungeons and Dragons: Rokugan/Oriental Adventures, Star Wars D20, and the Warcraft D20 roleplaying game. The first pen and paper roleplaying game I participated in was a Vampire: The Dark Ages game sometime around 1998. I fell in love with the artwork depicted in the Vampire: The Dark Ages book, and after that, there was no turning back. Currently, I am the dungeon mistress for several Dungeons and Dragons games, as well as a Star Wars D20 game. I also do a little storytelling for a World of Darkness chronicle (old World of Darkness). On that note, I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in the "New World of Darkness" line of games. I would prefer to shoot myself in the foot, rather than to play those games. If that alone fails to indicate my feelings on White Wolf Inc.'s decision to terminate the original World of Darkness line, let me make it clear; I hate their decision. As a fan of the games, and an avid roleplayer, I think it was the worst decision they could have made. As someone who has actually written something (regardless of how "poor" others may view my work to be), I understand their decision. However, that does not mean I have to agree with it.

I enjoy a wide variety of music, excluding the majority of "pop," all rap, country, and Gospel. A few of my favorite artists include; HIM, Nightwish, After Forever, Centory, Collide, Jack Off Jill, The Endparty, Sunless, The Last Dance, Per Somnia, My Ruin, Nine Inch Nails, Razed in Black, Stabbing Westward, Seraphim Shock, Amethystium, Amorphis, Blackmore's Night, Dir en Grey, Dead Can Dance, Depeche Mode, Enigma, Genitorturers, Hungy Lucy, Inkubus Sukkubus, Kidneythieves, Lords of Acid, Nickleback, Operatica, The Azoic, The Cure, Type O Negative, Aerosmith, Alannah Myles, Beborn Beton, Carfax Abbey, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Iced Earth, Matchbox 20, Rosetta Stone, and I enjoy a lot of classical music, particularly classical with a lot of piano. Not to mention quite a few more artists that I am simply too lazy to list.

As for movies, I am an avid fan of horror movies, though I also enjoy action. A few of my favorite movies include; The Crow, Leon (the original, not the American release "The Professional"), The Godfather movies, Hannibal, Princess Mononoke, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Pirates of the Caribbean, Night of the Living Dead (color version), Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight, Vampire Journals, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Resident Evil, Ghost, Identity, Underworld, and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

I currently own a Playstation, a Playstation 2, a Dreamcast, and a Sega Genesis. I am interested in acquiring a GameCube as well. I also play a number of PC games. A few of my favorites include; Dead or Alive 2, Tenchu: Stealth Assassins, Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins, and Tenchu 3: Wrath of Heaven, the entire Soul Reaver series and Blood Omen series, Shinobi, Sonic Adventure 2, Hunter: The Reckoning and Hunter: Wayward, the Bloody Roar series, Thief: The Dark Project, Thief: The Metal Age and Thief: Deadly Shadows, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Neverwinter Nights, Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide, Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark (my absolute favorite out of that series), Starcraft, Warcraft 3 and Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne. I am currently playing through the .hack roleplaying game series and awaiting the release of the game World of Warcraft. I previously played EverQuest and Anarchy Online. I am also awaiting the release of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic: Sith Lords... and I am cursing the X-Box users who have an earlier release date than the PC version of the game.

My pets include dogs, cats, rats, gerbils, a hamster, a ferret, birds, rabbits, and a large number of fish. My favorites, by far and wide, are the rats. I may post pictures of some of my pets in the future. Then again, I might not.

If that fails to satisfy your curiosity... Too bad.
